Homemade Candles are becoming increasingly popular as a cottage enterprise. An easy and natural method to smell your house at a fraction of the expense of the high street.

Candle making kits are created using soy wax, which is derived from hydrogenated soybean oil.

Natural soy wax candles are handcrafted. They are less expensive to build and last longer than conventional candles, plus they emit 90% less soot, making them a healthier alternative to ordinary candles. Hot soapy water may be used to clean up soy candle wax.

Is It Necessary To Pre-Heat Your Glasses/Containers?

This is purely a personal choice and is not required. However, we recommend that your glass containers remain at room temperature for 30 minutes before pouring. Room temperature is an essential consideration when creating candles since it determines how slowly or fast your candles are set. To achieve a decent final effect, your candles should be placed gently. Setting too quickly can result in sinking, holes, and a bad finish. Before pouring, place your candle glasses/containers on a convenient surface.

Candles Made With Soy Wax

Making soy candles is simple. A measuring jug, soy wax flakes, fragrance oil, a glass container, thermometer, stirring spoon, warning labels, wick centring tool, wax adhesive, and a wick are all required.

Preparation:- Make sure the container is clean, then connect the wick to the bottom of the glass using a wick centring tool to ensure the wick is in the centre.

Do Not Use A Microwave To Soften The Wax. This Is Quite Risky!

Use a heavy-duty pan or a double boiler instead. Melt your wax over a steady heat (do not exceed the melting point of the wax you’re using – see melting points below). Add the fragrance oil just before the wax melts and swirl slowly for 2 to 3 minutes to ensure the fragrance oil and wax mingle well. Remove from the fire and set aside to cool just above the pouring temperature. Decant into your pouring jug, check the temperature, and begin slowly pouring the wax into the container when it reaches the acceptable pouring temperature. The right strategy is to go slowly and steadily. Rapid pouring might cause the jar to crack and air pockets to develop.

Allow at least 24 hours for your candles to set and cure before lighting, and keep the room temperature reasonable.

Finally, clean the container, eliminate any drips, and cut the wick to around 1/4′′ before adding a warning label and your candles are ready to sell!

What Size Wick Do You Require?

It is critical to use the proper wick to ensure that your candle burns evenly and without sooting or mushrooming. The size of the wick you should use is determined by the diameter of the container, however, this might vary depending on the scent. It is critical to conduct testing before proceeding with full manufacturing to ensure that everything is in order.
