A helmet must fit snugly. The padding will eventually compress and make the helmet fit looser. It should not feel uncomfortable or cause headaches, but it shouldn’t fit too tightly. The helmet should fit snugly around your head. There should be no space between your temples & the brow pad. The cheek pads need to touch your cheeks but not make you uncomfortable. If the helmet is fitted with a neck roll it shouldn’t push the helmet aside. It is equally important to feel comfortable and safe when you put on your helmet. A helmet without comfort is no protection.
MOTORCYCLE HELMETS ELIMINATES NOISE
You can be very loud out on your bike due to many factors, such as the motorcycle you ride, weather conditions, and your helmet. While some helmets can be quieter than others because of their design, it is difficult to say which helmet is the quietest. It’s important to have a helmet that fits you correctly, especially around the neck.
Motorcycle noise can damage your hearing. Wearing a helmet while riding may not be enough to reduce the noise levels. It is important to use earplugs of the highest quality that are well fitted for every ride.
Weight
It’s vital to have a well-fitting helmet. So that the helmet’s weight is equally distributed around your head. If the fit is not correct, a lighter helmet can feel heavier on your neck and create strain.
MOTORCYCLE VENTILATION
When it comes to comfort, a helmet must have good airflow. Clean air will keep you cool and fresh while riding in hot weather. Look for outlet and inlet vents at the top and sides of the helmet. A good ventilation system must allow air to flow straight to your face/head, and also be capable to shut off the airflow completely. Vents placed on the chin prevent misting of the visor.
A helmet’s ventilation system’s efficiency can only truly be evaluated when it’s in action.

HELMET DESIGN AND COLOUR
If you plan to ride in the darkness, you might consider a helmet with a higher visibility rating. A contrasty lid helps other drivers to spot you.
